Being an owner operated private company ensures continuity of service and that every customer is treated as number one. OUR HISTORY Profreight was first registered on 13th May 1992, originally we were set up to handle freight forwarding and handle some key accounts in the household giftware trade. TIME TO MOVE FACILITY The time had come to embrace this growth, to move forward in a direction that would set the foundations for Profreight to expand its exposure, its operations and grow to the next level. Hence our move to a brand new facility at 27-33 Pavilion Drive, Airport Oaks. Gary and Steve could see that with the continual growth and opportunities for all divisions of the business that strategic planning and restructure were a necessity for the future growth and success of the company. It is at this point that Stephen Owles was invited to join the Profreight Family as General Manager to provide the much needed management and leadership to move the business to new heights and to build a management team and structure experienced and robust enough to tackle the enormous growth opportunities and to tackle and conquer the growing pains that come with such growth. A CHANGE OF DIRECTOR In late 2009, Steve Richardson resigned as a Director of the company to persue quality time with his family. OUR FUTURE With Stephen Owles at the helm and a focused Profreight Senior Management Team comprising Joanne Bycroft – Financial Controller, Andrew Wright – Operations Manager, and Elaine Magee – Projects Manager our future is brighter than ever. We have embarked on a journey of continuous improvement, with quality performance paramount in meeting the needs and expectations of our clients, throughout the global freight forwarding operation, and our 3PL distribution and storage services. We encourage staff development, training, and continual improvement, to enhance individual performance and overall operational excellence. 3PL WAREHOUSING & DISTRIBUTION SERVICES At Profreight we not only offer our clients Global Forwarding solutions to meet their needs for the import and export of products, we also offer third party logistic services as an extension of our import and export operations. We can also provide a domestic warehousing and distribution service. Profreight also manage overflow storage and distribution for numerous clients. Our facility at Airport Oaks, Mangere, Auckland, New Zealand is near new and comprises 9,500m3 of high stud warehouse. It is an accredited MAF Transitional Facility and New Zealand Customs Bonded Warehouse. We can also arrange customs brokerage should this be required through our agent who operates from within our facility. Our strengths lie in being privately owned, thus allowing us the flexibility to respond to differing requests quickly and efficiently to meet the changing needs of our clients. Decisions can therefore be made and implemented without delay. Our Management Team are totally focused on ensuring our clients expectations are exceeded, and our staff are dedicated to providing a high level of quality warehousing which we achieve through continued improvement and on-going training. All stock movement is managed utilizing our WMS (Warehouse Management System) in conjunction with Radio Frequency Scanning. We warehouse a large array of products from differing industries.
